I cannot log in to a Technicolor TC7200 router

I just got a Technicolor TC7200 router from my local DNA shop as part of the home broadband. I need to change some settings but cannot log in to the router. I have used both admin/admin for the username and password and also left them both blank. It just says "Given username and/or password is/are wrong". I have already set a static IP.

    You were on the right track, but the default login is a combination of the two you tried: the username can be left blank, and the password is admin.

    If this modem is purchased somewhere else than DNA the log in information can be different, i suggest you check the user manual if there is some different username or password when logging in.

    If the modem is purchased from DNA it should work with leaving everything empty or by leaving username empty and using "admin" as password. If the modem is purchased from DNA i suggest you visit a DNA shop and ask if they can replace the one you have.

    That depends on which router you have. Please refer to the owners manual for the default username and password.

    Did you buy the router from DNA? Have you checked that the internet connection itself is ok? You can see the wlan password on the router, there should be the text: _Salasana (WPA2-PSK): _and then the password.

    So when the modem is on , you go to the settings page http://192.168.0.1. Username is left empty and password is admin. Then press "Login". Choose "Network"-> "Portbase Passthrough" and there you can enable the ports you want -> "Apply".

    The complete instructions for the modem is only available in Finnish via DNA. By following the previously written instructions you should be able to set the modem to bridge mode.

    above in my previous reply there are instructions: When the modem is on , you go to the settings page http://192.168.0.1. Username is left empty and password is admin. Then press "Login". Choose "Network"-> "Portbase Passthrough" .

    When you come to the "Portbase Passthrough" (you can find a picture of how it should look like, at page 22 here: https://www.dna.fi/documents/15182/34009055/DNA... )
    , then you can see those different ports. If you want to change a specific port to bridge mode, you choose "enable" for that port and "apply". In the pdf instruction there´s also information, that this bridge feature might not be available in older software versions.

    I think this can only get sorted out if you would call DNA customer care +358 44 144 044, please do that. Because we need the CM MAC code of your modem now to check the service, and then it can also be checked if you actually have got the latest software version. If the modem is bought from DNA it should all be fine and fixable; if it is bought from some other provider it might be that the software isn´t the same / compatible and doesn´t go along with our instructions.

    To change the password, go to the settings page http://192.168.0.1. Username is left empty and password is admin. Then press "Login". After logging in you should find a "Password" option in the left navigational column. From there you can change the password.

  • Christopher we have the same problem! we only get limited option Huhu can we fix this? because i already tried reseting my router then login password admin then user empty but still this is still the option i still have, i want to have the port forwarding for games etc etc
    Please help i want the full option 🙁

    if you are a DNA customer, you could call DNA Customer Care +358 44 144 044, then it can be checked if you have got the latest software version of the Technicolor modem, when you give the CM MAC code.

    At page 13 in this PDF; there is information about that the settings page is http://192.168.0.1 . Username should be left empty and password is admin with small letters.

    DNA is co-operating with a separate device support HS Works, so if the customer needs any further device support like this, you can call HS Works 0600 305060 (1,98eur/min + mpm/pvm) or check if you can find more instructions on the manufacturers (Technicolors) own webpages.

    You can try to reset the modem by pressing and holding the little reset button on the modem, that way the username and password should be reset to default.

  • Never buy Technicolor/Thomson router/modem unless you want a headache.
    Their routers have serious weird issues with firmware.
    Internet sudden disconnect for few seconds to 20 minutes, dns request fails, unable to access router page, more than one connections to router causes connect disconnect issues, torrents freezes router, ping delays 1000-4000ms, etc.

    normally that should work when you just re-enter the password as well and press "apply". Also try to reset the modem/ restore the factory defaults. You can test another internet browser as well and another computer. It that doesn´t work, we cannot unfortunately give any further device support at this support site; but you can then contact the HS Works device support and you can find their contact number above.

    If you mean the default username and password for the settings page, they are as mentioned above: username is left blank and password is admin.

    If you mean how to connect to the modem via WLAN, the default SSID and password can be found on the sticker on the modem itself.

    I have TC7200 .D1l modem everythings seems normal but i can not access this modem by remote access. when i try 192.168.0.1 the password is correct but if i try to access from remote the same user and password doesn't work.
